Introducing Cohorts by Swishjam

Cohorts enable you to aggregate and tag users that contain certain characteristics into groups that can be used throughout Swishjam to better understand, visualize, and action upon your key customer groups.

Because Swishjam integrates with your other SaaS tools and automatically stitches the data to a unified customer profile, you can build all encompassing cohorts for all of your needs. So far some common Cohorts folks are building include:

  • Churn risk users - Users whose subscription_plan property = "premium" that have triggered the {dashboard_viewed} event fewer than 3 times over the last 30 days.
  • High effort free users - Users whose monthly_subscription_fee property = 0 that have triggered the {intercom.ticket.created} event 3 or more times over the last 30 days.
  • Unactivated users - Users who have not triggered the {report_generated} event or the {teammate_added} event yet.

Lastly, one of the core tenets Swishjam always looks to satisfy is to make your data actionable and less retroactive. This means when you create a new Cohort, you can set up automations for when a user falls into or out of a Cohort; in near real time. This means you can:

  1. Send a notification to your Slack channel to let you know when a user falls out of your “Unactivated users” Cohort to let you know when a user completes onboarding
  2. Send a custom email to the user when they fall out of your “Active Users” Cohort to try to re-engage with them.
